Job Title: Firmware Engineer

Location: Pittsford, NY

Duration: 3 Month Contract (likely to extend)

Compensation: Based on Experience

Job Responsibilities

§  Design and develop chip verification firmware for our client’s products

§  Analyze and develop experiments to assess micro architectural performance of custom microcontroller

§  Work closely with members of the firmware team and cross functional teams to develop quality products

§  Investigate problems and identify robust solutions quickly

Required Qualifications

§  BS or greater, preferably in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field

§  Minimum of 5 years of experience in real-time embedded software development

§  Minimum of 5 years of code development using assembly language and a higher level language like C/C++

§  Experience with I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485 or other inter-processor communications

§  Experience with digital signal processing and/or image processing

§  Experience with embedded real-time operating system internals including user and kernel mode (protected) programming issues

§  Familiarity with analog and digital systems, ADCs, DACs, sensors

§  Familiarity with Logic Analyzers, ICE, DVM, Oscilloscope and similar tools is a must

§  Familiarity with Verilog HDL or VHDL preferred

§  Excellent written and verbal communications skills

§  Must have the ability to work with geographically diverse teams
