Job Title: Clinical Sales Consultant
Job Location: Southeast Region – Targeted Locations: NC / SC / TN / VA / GA
 

Looking for a self-motivated, process oriented and detail focused person. Working within the hospital OR environment providing inventory automation software packages. Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:

Ø      OR process

Ø      Preference cards and scheduling

Ø      Ortho – Vendor Loan Set ordering and management 

Ø      Sterile goods and instrumentation requirements

Ø      Must have a good understanding of software programs and the ability to learn systems.

 

Must have the ability to work through processes within this core business area. To provide solutions and value outcomes to the customers.

Clinical Sales is responsible for generating new accounts and increasing profitability in existing accounts as well as increasing market share. The main focus is generating new accounts (creating a sales pipeline), customer satisfaction and growth.  OR clinical experience is needed for product demonstrations and presentations to Directors and C level executives. 

This position is involved in the sale of our patient Centric inventory automation software application suite along with hardware products, automation software, technology integration and business intelligence tools.  The buying process involves strong clinical staff and executive sponsorship.

Accountabilities

Demonstrates expert knowledge and understanding of products, services and regulatory recommendations/requirements and impact to front line clinician and healthcare environment that may influence sales opportunities

Collaborates to develop strategic clinical recommendations to influence customer decision to purchase new products and services; develop strategies and action plans to significantly influence clinical acceptance in multi-site and/or complex clinical environments improving patient outcomes and delivering business outcomes.

Creates or improves strategies to optimize product evaluation processes to enhance participation, outcomes and customer satisfaction and opportunity to drive the process enhancing influence and ability to build key champions and promote the sales process by providing customers with solutions.

 

Communicates in a polite manner to customers and observed healthcare trending information to support product development efforts.

Proactively develops and maintains a broad knowledge base of the product offerings and related clinical application providing guidance on best practices, clinical processes and challenges

Demonstrates ability to present solutions drilling past the perceived requirement to the actual business and production need, through a comprehensive assessment and evaluation; maintains awareness of progress and redirects solution implementation if desired results were not originally met until optimal outcome is achieved

Ø      Nursing degree required; Bachelor or Master’s degree preferred

Ø      Minimum 2 years bedside nursing experience to include 2 years OR experience

Ø      RN designation a must with OR experience…a specialty background like orthopedics or patient scheduling a bonus.

Ø      Medical sales experience an advantage

Ø      Require availability to travel a minimum 85% of time; occasional weekend coverage

Ø      In-depth OR process knowledge a plus

Ø      Project management experience a plus

Ø      Presentation and demonstration of effective communication experience a plus.

Ø      Excellent listening skills…ability to sense a “real issue” when a nurse asks a question, and then capable of asking deeper questions to uncover these concerns and address them appropriately.

Ø      Sales ability and experience with a minimum of strong listening, questioning, and presentation skills. 

Ø      Valid driver’s license

 

Compensation package will include a base salary + benefits, travel allowance and commission structure.

US Office is Greensboro NC – preferred but not mandatory to be based here.
